December 10, 2009 - Resubmitted as a Cumulative Injury
December 4, 2009 - It was found the City of Norman, via the City Manager, has denied accepting a request for bodily repair as a result of a previously reported On-the-Job Injury. It is anticipated that the petitioner will attempt to have this injury addressed via the Workers Compensation System. (Letter of Denial forthcoming...)
November 25, 2009 - This submitted Grievance was denied by the Fire Chief and therefore submitted to the City Manager in Step 3 of the Grievance process. (Read 2nd Filing...)
November 18, 2009 - Grievance was denied by the Fire Chief.
November 17, 2009 - The IAFF has submitted and is forwarded on behalf of Fire Captain Mark Castell. On 5-15-06 Mark filed an OJI with the city and was seen and treated by the city’s PA Weiss. He was sent to physical therapy and then received pain management shots. This was a temporary relief of the pain which has now returned. Mark requested that the OJI be reopened and was denied on 10-09-09. (Read Grievance...)
