Union Meeting

September 17th & 18th, 2007 Union Meeting

The following are the minutes for the two-shift Union Meeting held on September 17 & 18, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. The meetings was held at Mid-Town Plaza, 330 West Gray Street, Lower level, conference room.

The door prize was set at $50.00 for this meeting. Brad Stewart’s name was drawn. Brad was not present at either meeting to claim his $50 prize. Door prize for next meeting will be $75. (You must be present at one of the meetings to win the door prize.)

1. Discuss and possibly take action on configuring a commerce link to a special IAFF 2067 account that could be used for the collection of MDA “fill the boot” campaign funds for 2008.
   *No Motion Made.

2. Discuss as feedback the recent IAFF sponsored “Stand-Down” activities and possibly take action in preparation for future IAFF sponsored Stand-Down events by such recommendation that would either support or otherwise omit participation in those future activities.
   *Motion for Local 2067 to participate in the IAFF/IAFC Stand-Down Training event each year.

3. Discuss and possibly take action in requiring Union sponsored committees, as well as “delegates” to IAFF sponsored conventions or seminars, to report back to the Union President and/or his designee “in writing” the status and/or progress of such committee(s) by way of final reports, meeting minutes, decisions, scheduled meeting dates/times, etc. as in keeping all members up to date.

4. Discuss and possibly take action on Executive Board recommendations concerning OSFA Convention reimbursement.
   *Motion for Local 2067 to fund double occupancy hotel rooms for OSFA Convention Delegates.
